Crisis Intervention

With the increase of stress claims in the work place Chesapeake Disability Management, Inc. has developed a post catastrophic event stress management program. This program assists employers whose employees have experienced or witnessed violence or a catastrophic injury in the work place. Crisis Intervention can be provided in group or individual sessions.

Exposure Desensitization

A Chesapeake Disability Management, Inc. counselor will work one-on-one with a traumatized individual using a systematic on-site counseling approach with the goal of return to work. The individual is gradually exposed to the feared stimuli with a trained counselor resulting in a reduction in anxiety/fear and eventual return to work in their usual job.

Architectural assessments/Universal design consideration is part of the skill set which allows our experienced staff to identify and remediate barriers to returning employees to their home.
