The Case Management staff at Chesapeake Disability Management, Inc. holds many credentials:
CCM (Certified Case Management) this is a national certification that is the gold standard of case management. The applicant must meet arduous experience and educational requirement to quality to sit for this examination. The original certification is renewable on a five year bases and is dependant on continuing education credits and adherence to professional practice standards set on a national level.
CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) this certification requires applicants to take an exam and attend continuing education classes as the CCM does. This demonstrates a commitment to quality care and improvement in service delivery and an understanding of the important changes in care management. The CRRN recognition is for nurses who are committed to caring for people with physical disabilities.
CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) this certification is applied for by counselors who hold a Masters degree in rehabilitation counseling, complete an examination process, and maintain this certification by attending continuing education classes.
CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist) this certification validates specialized knowledge of disability management through examination, verifies requisite levels of education and experience, demonstrates commitment to upgrading skills and requires adherence to a code of professional conduct.
Our nursing staff is licensed in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, Washington DC, and any state that is a member of the Compact States. Each State has its own requirements, standards, and examination process for nursing. Compact States are states in which the requirements, examination, and processes are similar so that nurses do not need to reapply and retest to practice nursing in neighboring states.
